The Division of Hematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking two pediatric psychologists to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the Division’s development of a pre-eminent pediatric psychosocial oncology/hematology/stem cell program that seamlessly integrates both clinical and research agendas at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level in the Clinician Educator line.

The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicants should hold a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology from an accredited psychology training program, have completed an APA-approved internship specializing in child clinical psychology, pediatrics, or neuropsychology, and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of California.

Position 1: The primary responsibility of this role will to be provide direct clinical care to address the psychosocial needs of pediatric oncology/hematology patients and their families from diagnosis to survivorship, or end-of-life. We are particularly interested in candidates who have extensive clinical experience in evidence-based interventions with pediatric oncology/hematology populations.

Position 2: The primary responsibility of this role is to see patients aged 0-26 with a range of oncologic and hematological disorders, as well as those undergoing stem cell transplants or other immunotherapies to conduct baseline and follow-up developmental and neuropsychological assessments. We are particularly interested in candidates with assessment experience in pediatric medical settings.

Candidates should possess a strong interest in collaboratively developing, growing, and guiding integrated clinical and research agendas. The ideal candidates will have research and clinical experience, a strong record of collaboration, mentorship, and delivering evidence-based clinical care to pediatric populations in a fast-paced medical setting, both inpatient and outpatient, appropriate to their career stage.

These positions offer excellent opportunities for clinical care, research, and teaching as a member of the multidisciplinary Bass Center Psychosocial Service. Opportunities for other clinical activities may be possible based on the candidate’s interests and experience. The expected base pay range for these positions are:

Clinical Assistant Professor: $140 - 152k

Clinical Associate Professor: $178 - 190K

Clinical Professor: $230 - 242K

 

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
